Architecture (with a capital “A”) has a tendency to impose a certain perspective about how a place is supposed to feel. An architect is taught to universalize a particular narrative that is brought forth objectively but is, in reality, subjective and personal. However, the contemporary landscape requires a tuning of ourselves and our environment to ever-changing, diverse situations.
One question holds - how do we experience different perspectives and ideologies without essentializing our own?
This project attunes me to the anxieties of others, uncovering the particularities of different embodiments of culture and architecture. It attempts to hold a place of disposition, of networks, of the so-called “Other”. It hopes to locally render a local moment of local perspectives - perspectives that are ever jittering.
